We're going to Belgium! I just got the good news. God bless Grandparents and frequent flier miles. Now Ruby needs to get a tiny passport, and possibly real coat, not just a fashion jacket like the kind we wear down here in the lone star state.
As you can see by the video, Ruby is awesome. She recognizes so many words, including "dance" and "blankie". We spend our days reading books, entertaining coffee guests, cooking, strolling, swinging, snuggling. I love my life. Sure I work 'til 3:30 in the morning but I would be staying up that late watching foreign films or drawing with crayons or reading comics anyway.
Each day Evan and I grow more and more madly in love with her. We miss her when she sleeps, even though sometimes we count the minutes 'til bed time so we can have a minute alone. We love talking about things that belong to her, "Ruby's books, Ruby's guacamole, Ruby's Levis." We got it bad.
